By the way - i dont understand why you ban chariots. They can kill much, but they can be countered by missiles, cavalry and even swordsmen now (cause of missiles). Almost each unit of army can made damage to them if you do well. They are expencive as well. If you dont feel how to counter them right in new patch - it doesnt mean that they are imbalanced.

But they are heavily armoured. Unless you commit a lot of troops to the fight, you can't stop them. So while you are busy against one unit, your opponent can do other stuff. All the "micro" required is on double click.

I would like to say a few things about the rules... I think....

1)If you allow nomads, you should allow noobbox...Noobox is game's dynmaic .. Nomads can be annoying. What is meant saying noob box? Noobbox  just meant making pike ? I sometimes make box with sword or spear..

2)And we can  take one chariot. It was stopped...

3)(Max sam 6 unit rule) weaken with  nation with few options

4)Total Infantry (spear,sword,pike,hoplit)spam is a serious problem in this tourment with patch 15. Should be total inf limit.(But It can be free nomads vs unnomads match)

5)The side of cavlary odds( If more than a cavlary, even)ever must attck. A referee must check it in every game.. The military superiority of the cavlary constantly tired circles are other army.This may take several minutes
*** Best tourment is just playing barbarians.We can make Barbarian Tourment next tourment. It is more balanced..

if you sign up then you practically sign up for the rules, these rules are made by me, panda and memcann, you can't take chariots because we decide you can't, they are somewhat broken and i don't want to see games where they by themselves win the game. "noob box" is for pikes, but you have to be aggressive anyways so i don't think a "sword box" would help you at all.
i don't know any faction that is seriously hurt by max 6 of the same. there is no max to infantry as rules are meant to balance not to dictate or make Meta's. i have no idea what the last question and the rant after that is suppose to mean.

If your opponent brings nomads then you can bring nomads. Its fair and is something different from the usual battles you have.

What do you mean by no pull through? you have to expand this carefully.

For example:what if my opponent spread his infantry into thin line and my cav crush through it. Is that a pull through?

another example: suppose my cav charge to a heavy archer/slinger unit and it has not route yet but then i charge to a nearby missile unit. Is that a pull through ?

Similarly, If my heavy full shock cav charge on a light horse and i know it will route in a matter of sec so i pull through it to another target. Is that a pull through?

There is a lot more examples i can give so you need to explain 'pull through' carefully.

How about elephant pull through?

My 2 cents elephant pull through is fine otherwise their effectiveness is seriously hindered.

The example given with cavalry hitting thin infantry lines would not be pull through as the infantry would be knocked down.

Pulling through both light cavalry and skirmishers to me would be pull through and unreasonable, those seconds that the units hold up say a shock cavalry unit, could be decisive!

I really worry about the situation when is a unit 'locked down'. Sometimes it is hard to judge if a unit is fully knockdown, 60%,50% lock down or just 40% lock down.

People can argue that their situation is a 'fully lock down' so pull through is acceptable. Furthermore, there is usually little time for a player to judge if it is 'lock down' or not... so we will just pull through anyway..

Yeah, but you should not do it on purpose, if my Cataphracts charge a unit of Archers, I look somewhere else and I accidentially run through another unit, because he moved his troops that is ok. If I run through my opponent, get caught and still try it, I'd call it a violation of rules.
If you knock down a unit, and it is possibly for the bulk of your cav to get through with a single movement order, it is ok. We actually had that discussion already, and there is post by jonasnee about it.

Couldn't get email before but I got in the end.
Is this like a copy of the old Tournament Central? That place was good had a leader board system and everything, think I have a link laying around somewhere on Sith site

The rules are a good basic layout for this tournament, seeing as though its a start out its best to test it once see how things run, next time the admin team can change things around the way they feel fit.
